The successful standard packages for these LEDs have been retained, but they now contain LEDs in a new brightness class with properties that include durability, resistance to electrostatic discharge (ESD), improved corrosion stability and certification to automotive industry standard AEC Q101.

LOPE-C 2013: Printed electronics: system integration paves the way for innovative applications

Besides leading suppliers to the global market Coatema, Fujifilm Dimatix, Heraeus Precious Metals, Plextronics, PolyIC, Printocent VTT and Thin Film Electronics, major research institutions such as Fraunhofer, Acreo AB and Holst Centre are also represented in Munich this year at LOPE-C. For the first time there will be a Japanese joint pavilion. The first products based on organic electronics - thin, light, flexible and inexpensive to produce - are already on the market. The trailblazing products are extremely lightweight, flexible, energy-efficient touchscreen displays for smartphones and interactive "smart packaging" for consumer products.
LOPE-C will be held from June 11 to 13 in Munich.
